Absolutely loved this one. I’m a sucker for foreign films, and it was such a treat watching a war movie told from a completely different perspective than the traditional U.S. Hollywood version.
The movie is brutal, beautifully shot, and incredibly well done. I’m also really glad Netflix didn’t keep this one locked away on streaming and actually gave it the physical release it deserves.
If you’re alright with subtitles, definitely check this one out. You won’t be disappointed.
We have similar taste Rappaport182. Loved this one too! Opening scene with them washing the clothes still haunts me.
And yes, agree with you fagyubeef, glad they kept it in German!
I was so glad they were speaking German in this after having watched the first two. I don’t know why that sometimes annoys me but it annoyed me about the previous versions of this. Certainly the most visually appealing, not the best of the 3, but the second best.
