This is boring. It’s too long, nothing happens except him slapping her back and forth across the island. I get the political stuff and individuals of such different stripe coming to love each other but it feels like a trauma bonding and it comes with a healthy dose of DV. Product of its time, but I don’t like that.

This is so funny. It is so good and I was very surprised. Plays it perfectly, this is a parody, it works brilliantly as one.

I guess this was the last film Gandolfini filmed. I never even caught wind of this when it came out. Classic criminal with a heart of gold story…very stupid, very cool.

Nobody ever gives this movie any talk. The orca and MMA inclusion certainly makes me bias, as it feels designed in a lab for specifically me. Even still, this movie is deeply emotional and raw, great performances.

Elite run time. My favorite era of anime. Dark, violent, grimy and yet still colorful and bright. This is something I saw way too young, dubbed on VHS.

I think the original cut is still the best. Regardless of which cut you watch, this is so elite. The platonic ideal of an 80’s fantasy movie.

Incredible visuals, hated for no reason. If you watch this as a cartoon being portrayed in live-action it makes so much sense. I think this wrote the permission slips for all the Marvel nonsense.
