This movie was better than recent Marvel movies. Being a stand alone story it had time to develop characters a little and wasn't just and endless attempt to cram as many actors and characters into one movie as possible. Animation fans should love this one. In particular, if you liked any other Mamoru Hosoda films this should not disappoint. A touching story about loss and parenting that could only be done through the lens of animation. Had me from the get go.

This was an interesting take on the Dracula lore that we know so well. Spoiler alert: It shares very little of the common romantic thread that you see in a lot of vampire media. To quote Skarsgard's character in this film "I am an appetite, nothing more".
