Entertaining and fun movie with Ryan Reynolds doing his Ryan Reynolds thing. The humor and depth of the movie is pretty much what you'd expect from the premise (in other words - it's cute and funny but kind of empty). It's a light movie to pass the time. SPECIAL FEATURES - Deleted scenes and funny gag reels. No audio commentary.

Ghostbusters is a cultural touchstone that deserves its reputation as a funny and iconic movie. The cast is impeccable and their on-screen chemistry is off-the-charts. A lot of the success of the movie is due to the humor of Dan Aykroyd, Bill Murray, and Harold Ramis. They're just hilarious to watch. The story is funny and interesting and it has heart. Very good thriller that has you guessing until the end. It has a bunch of small plotholes that added up over time to make it a little less enjoyable for me, but the mystery and tension in the movie are really great. There's very little difference between 4K and bluray picture quality here. The BR is great. SPECIAL FEATURES - audio commentary and some featurettes.

SUCH A GREAT MOVIE. It's filmed (kind of) in documentary-style, with a wild premise of thousands of grasshopper-like aliens (derisively called "prawns") living in an apartheid state in South Africa. The protagonist is a goofy, privileged Afrikaaner played PERFECTLY by Sharlto Copley. What starts off a little bit like "The Office" turns into a bloody, gunplay-heavy, war film thriller, but still wit...

It's a five star cast, excellent production quality, and an interesting premise. Somehow, though, the story doesn't really connect. For me, at least, when the monster victims are all hopelessly doomed, and they never really fight well or even know what they're fighting, it's kind of boring. There's no tension if there's absolutely no way the victims can even fight back. On top of that, the victims...
