Mondo Macabro THE HUNGRY SNAKE WOMAN - The world Blu-ray premier of a wild Asian horror movie! Burhan, desperate for wealth and glory, decides to visit the Snake Woman, a mysterious and powerful deity who can confer instant riches on those who obey her commands. She tells Burhan he must kill three women, feast on their blood and eat their breasts. Transformed into Dracula, with cloak and fangs, he sets off on his mission. One killing is all he can take before abandoning the task. He encounters Nyi Lajang, the Snake Woman's enemy, a half human/half snake creature. Nyi Lajang offers Burhan a way out of his contract with the Snake Woman. She gives him a silver pin that he must stab Snake Woman with during sex while she is in human form. This will turn her back into a snake and neutralise all her magical powers. This is what Burhan does. But his problems are far from over… One of the wildest and craziest Indonesian horror films ever made, HUNGRY SNAKE WOMAN is a phantasmagorical ride through a world of cannibal slave maidens, chainsaw wielding heroes, a possessed go-go dancer, exploding rib cages, bizarre black magic spells, a dash of kung fu fighting, buckets of gore, and even a little bit of sex, featuring the legendary Suzzanna, Indonesia's "queen of horror." This is a US video premiere and a world premiere on Blu-ray, digitally restored from the original negative. The disc includes the rare English language version of the film. Description

Sisworo Gautama Putra was just getting started on what would be a prolific career when 1980's Friday the 13th inspired the Indonesian filmmaker to helm Srigala ("Wolf") a year later. The nods to Cunningham's slasher whodunit are obvious, but Putra's love for the color-drenched storytelling of Dario Argento and Lucio Fulci's rotting ghouls is also present in a movie that would go on to recognition as a benchmark in Southeast Asian entertainment. A trio of treasure hunters venture to a remote lake in search of a submerged fortune but run into unexpected company in some vacationing college friends. The fortune trackers attempt to scare the coeds away with stories of ghosts and demons, but all end up in a fight for survival as someone, or something, is hunting them down one-by-one. Terror Vision is proud to present a new 2K scan of Putra's original camera negative for Srigala, making its worldwide disc debut with two minutes of additional footage and newly shot extras that include an interview with actor Barry Prima! More blood! More guts! More scuba diving!
