Dive into the delightfully offbeat 1987 romantic comedy Mannequin, a beloved cult classic starring Kim Cattrall (Sex and the City, Big Trouble in Little China, Porky's, Peter Benchley's Creature) alongside Andrew McCarthy (Pretty in Pink, St. Elmo's Fire, Less Than Zero). Set in a vibrant Philadelphia department store, this whimsical tale follows struggling artist Jonathan Switcher, who discovers a mannequin magically brought to life, sparking a heartwarming romance filled with '80s flair and fantasy charm. Directed by Michael Gottlieb (Mr. Nanny, A Kid in King Arthur's Court), Mannequin shines with it's nostalgic blend of comedy, romance, and surreal imagination. The supporting cast is equally memorable: James Spader (Stargate, The Blacklist, Boston Legal) brings a hilariously smarmy energy; Estelle Getty (The Golden Girls, Stop! Or My Mom Will Shoot, Mask) adds warmth and wit; and mesh-gloved icon Meshach Taylor (Designing Women, The Allnighter, Dave's World) steals scenes as the flamboyant Hollywood Montrose. Carole Davis (The Shrimp on the Barbie, If Looks Could Kill, The Rapture) and G.W. Bailey (Police Academy, M*A*S*H, Short Circuit) round out the cast with colorful supporting roles. Capped with an iconic, Oscar-nominated soundtrack featuring Starship's smash hit "Nothing's Gonna Stop Us Now," Mannequin remains a time capsule of '80s pop culture - a feel-good, quirky romantic comedy that continues to win new fans with it's mix of magic, music, and movie-store nostalgia. RUNTIME: 90 minutes
