Description

Director Frank Perry delivers a chilling exploration of youth in the 1969 drama Last Summer. Set on Fire Island, the film follows three teenagers whose idyllic vacation curdles into a psychological nightmare. Perry masterfully builds tension as the trio targets the shy Rhoda, pushing boundaries of cruelty and peer pressure. Known for his keen eye for social alienation, Perry crafts a haunting coming-of-age tale that strips away the era's idealism to reveal a violent loss of innocence.
