Octogenarian L.A. widow Ruth (Kathleen Chalfant) found it odd that her younger first date Steven (H. Jon Benjamin) was taking her on a surprise getaway. It soon becomes apparent that Steven is her son, and the "hotel" is the assisted living facility she agreed to in a lucid moment during her cognitive decline.
