This film is a mess. It should be great: Director Michael Mann searching for his style before Miami Vice. A cast that includes Gabriel Byrne, Ian McKellen, Scott Glenn, and Jurgen Prochnow. But no one is a sympathetic, relatable character -- except for the Nazi?
