This movie is a wild ride, and is truly one of the defining films of this decade. The casting is crazy, the story is almost epic, and the underlying themes about people, their motivations, and the sobering celebration of the mundane under all of the ado is cliché, in a sense, but very well presented. I couldn't stop thinking about this movie for weeks after watching it.

A wild movie about Hollywood elites who throw wild, cult-like sex parties. Not really a creepy movie until you realize it's probably all based on reality. It's Kubrick, so it's a brilliantly made movie, and he died shortly after he shot it. Worth a watch just to read about the odd theories about it online after.

Existentialism meets mysticism. Waking Life is a disjointed collection of interviews tied loosely together by a strange fantasy narrative about the interviewer learning to lucid dream. A man stuck in traffic has a mental breakdown. The premise of this film had a lot of idiots cheering for the protagonist when it came out, but the film is sophomoric and the characters are all absurd. With so much contrived nonsense, this movie just doesn't hold up to whatever it may have achieved when it released.

Good movie for kids with nice themes. There's light use of CGI that's really bad, and even though the movie is from a better time, it lacks some polish.
