Description
The Godfathers of Italian cult cinema director Umberto Lenzi (Nightmare Beach) and co-writer Dario Argento (Suspiria) bring you this blazing WWII actioner about the bold men who challenged the Devil and won! Grizzled Jack Palance (Shane) puts on a roguish brogue as Scottish Colonel Charley MacPherson, who's just had his platoon of 28 massacred by the Germans. Furious at his superiors for this suicide mission, he assembles a dirty half-dozen convicts for his next one, along with American explosives expert Major Burke (Thomas Hunter, The Hills Run Red), to clear a path for British commandos through a minefield off the Normandy coast on the night of June 4th, 1944. Aka Legion of the Damned, this rip-roaring classic of the Macaroni War genre co-stars Aldo Sambrell (Navajo Joe) with The Longest Day baddies Curd Jurgens (The Spy Who Loved Me) and Wolfgang Preiss (The Train).

Description
From Michael Winner, the acclaimed director of The System, The Jokers, Lawman, The Nightcomers, The Mechanic, Death Wish and The Sentinel, comes this charming WWII adventure-comedy. Stephen “Hannibal” Brooks (Oliver Reed, Burnt Offerings, The Hunting Party) is a British prisoner of war assigned to care for an elephant named Lucy in a Munich zoo. When the zoo is bombed by the Americans, Brooks is ordered to transport Lucy by train to a safer zoo in Innsbruck. But when the train is commandeered by German troops, Brooks must escort the feisty pachyderm across the Austrian border on foot. Two of the film’s best features are the terrific color photography by Robert Paynter (Little Shop of Horrors) and original musical score by the great Francis Lai (Love Story). Co-starring Michael J. Pollard (Bonnie and Clyde) and Wolfgang Preiss (The Train), Hannibal Brooks was the fourth of six collaborations between star Reed and director Winner. Special Features: -Brand New 2K Master -Theatrical Trailer -Dual-Layered BD50 Disc -Optional English Subtitles Top About this item Similar From the Brand Reviews Hannibal Brooks [Blu-ray]

Description
Before Black Sabbath, before I Vampiri, director Giorgio Ferroni (The Lion of Thebes, Blood for a Silver Dollar) introduced audiences to period horror Italian-style with his chilling 1960 shocker Mill of the Stone Women – a classic tale of terror redolent with the atmosphere of vintage Hammer Horror. Young art student Hans von Arnam (Pierre Brice, Night of the Damned) arrives by barge at an old mill to write a monograph about its celebrated sculptures of women in the throes of death and torture, maintained and curated by the mill’s owner, the hermetic Professor Wahl (Herbert Böhme, Secret of the Red Orchid). But when Hans encounters the professor’s beautiful and mysterious daughter Elfi (Scilla Gabel, Modesty Blaise), his own fate becomes inexorably bound up with hers, and with the shocking secret that lies at the heart of the so-called Mill of the Stone Women. The first Italian horror film to be shot in color, Mill of the Stone Women prefigured a raft of other spaghetti nightmares, including the work of maestros Mario Bava and Dario Argento.
