Future Oscar -winning producer Walter Mirisch (In the Heat of the Night) broke into the film business at poverty-row studio Monogram Pictures, with his first film "FALL GUY" in 1947, based on a short story by Cornell Woolrich. The next year Mirisch brought another production derived from a Woolrich work to the studio, with this 1948 Film-noir with a modest budget, a little-known cast, and directed by screen veteran William Nigh. The result was "I WOULDN'T BE IN YOUR SHOES", a captivating tale about a down-on-his luck dancer set-up to be wrongly accused of murder (Don Castle), and the efforts of his devoted wife (Elyse Knox) to prove his innocence against all odds. Virtually unseen for decades, and now restored from original nitrate elements, this little gem of a film will impress new audiences and once seen, not soon be forgotten.

Mission accomplished! Errol Flynn, who brought boyish bravado to The Adventures of Robin Hood, Dodge City, Gentleman Jim and other screen yarns, turns in a mature, acclaimed performance as the leader of a paratrooper patrol stranded in Burma. It's "one of the few features of which I am proud," Flynn later said. There's reason for pride. "This is one of the finest World War II films made during the war," The Movie Guide says. "One of the best war movies," Guide for the Film Fanatic's Danny Peary wrote, "and among the grimmest." Raoul Walsh directs the hard-hitting action, shot in rugged California locations so similar to Burma that veterans of that campaign refused to believe the crew hadn't somehow sneaked into Asia.

A year after the explosive events of last season, England finds itself embroiled in a devastating civil war, with the powerful, neo-fascist Raven Union, led by Lord Harwood (Jason Flemyng) threatening to control the entire country. North London remains one of the few resistance holdouts remaining. It's here in the West End Neutral Zone, that we find Alfred Pennyworth (Jack Bannon). After years in the British Army, his training with the SAS has taught him to be a cynical optimist -- expecting the worst, but knowing that he can handle it. Now running The Delaney, a black-market Soho club that welcomes everyone, regardless of their politics, Alfred, with his SAS mates, "Bazza" (Hainsley Lloyd Bennett) and "Daveboy" (Ryan Fletcher), is now in search of a way out -- before London, and his country, burns itself to the ground. And he's got his eye on America.
