Description
It’s 1908. The West has changed. Grizzled frontiersman Cable Hogue (Jason Robards) hasn’t. Despite the fortune he’s made selling water to thirsty desert travelers, he lies in wait. Someday two no-account desert rats – who long ago robbed Hogue and left him to die in the baking Arizona sand – will drop by for a drink. After the violence of The Wild Bunch, director Sam Peckinpah shifted moods with this memorable fable, less a tale of revenge than it is a lyrical, touching tribute to the last days of the West’s pioneering spirit. Stella Stevens and David Warner lead an excellent supporting cast that also includes L.Q. Jones and Strother Martin as Hogue’s old enemies.

Description
When the western film, for many decades the staple of the American cinema, suffered a decline in the Seventies, a new sub-genre helped fill the void the trucking epic. Legendary filmmaker Sam Peckinpah (Ride the High Country, Straw Dogs, Bring Me the Head of Alfredo Garcia) directed this action-packed classic based on the runaway hit song, Convoy. Martin 'Rubber Duck' Penwald (Kris Kristofferson, Pat Garrett & Billy the Kid) who, in pursuance of a feud with Sheriff Dirty Lyle 'Cottonmouth' Wallace (Ernest Borgnine, The Wild Bunch), unites scores of his fellow drivers via Citizen Band radio into a gigantic mile-long convoy which, powered by pent-up frustrations and resentments as much as by diesel fuel, rolls irresistibly along the Arizona highways towards the freedom of the Mexican border. The stellar cast includes Ali MacGraw (The Getaway), Seymour Cassel (Rushmore) and Burt Young (The Killer Elite) as Bobby 'Love Machine' 'Pig Pen'. Beautifully shot in CinemaScope by the great Harry Stradling Jr. (Bite the Bullet), Convoy was Peckinpah's biggest box office hit.

CROSS OF IRON is a riveting and violent tale of men on the front lines of battle and it is the only war film directed by master filmmaker Sam Peckinpah. Set in 1943, this explosive epic centers on Corporal Steiner (James Coburn), an accomplished but war-weary combat veteran leading a group of German soldiers on the Russian front. Steiner's authority comes under attack when Captain Stransky (Maximilian Schell) takes over command of his troops. Stransky has only one goal in mind: to win the coveted Iron Cross, Germany's highest medal, at any cost. The two military aces soon face off in an intense and deadly battle of wills.

Screen icon Steve McQueen (Love with the Proper Stranger, Bullitt) is at his rugged best in this totally captivating tale of a fading rodeo champion from acclaimed director Sam Peckinpah (The Getaway, Bring Me the Head of Alfredo Garcia, Convoy). With his bronco-busting career on its last legs, Junior Bonner (McQueen) heads to his hometown to try his luck in the annual rodeo. But his fond childhood memories are shattered when he finds his family torn apart by his greedy brother (Joe Don Baker, Framed) and hard-drinking father (Robert Preston, The Music Man). Now Junior must break the wildest bull in the West to bring his family together for one final moment of cowboy glory in the roughest, rowdiest ride of his life! Junior Bonner is an extraordinarily graceful yet unflinching rendering of a slice of Americana, beautifully shot by the great Lucien Ballard (The Ballad of Cable Hogue) and featuring a top-notch cast which also includes Ida Lupino (Road House), Ben Johnson (The Wild Bunch), Mary Murphy (Beachhead), Dub Taylor (Burnt Offerings), Don Red Barry (Shalako) and Bill McKinney (Deliverance). Description
After making his first bonafide classic in Ride the High Country, director Sam Peckinpah took a step towards the epic with Major Dundee. The film would, in many ways, define the rest of his career both on screen and off, as the drama behind the camera matched the action in front of it. Charlton Heston stars as Major Amos Dundee, a vainglorious Union Cavalry officer, who mounts an expedition to hunt down Apache war chief Sierra Charriba. Building his own army of criminals, ex-slaves and Confederate POWs - among them one Captain Ben Tyreen (Richard Harris), whose intense former friendship with Dundee is tainted with a sense of betrayal on both sides - Dundee heads into Mexico, his eye fixed firmly on a last shot at greatness. Legendarily acerbic, Major Dundee would be the first time that Peckinpah had a movie taken away from him. While a director’s cut may be lost to us, this Limited Edition shows us the thrilling, morally complex epic that Peckinpah was aiming for. Beautifully shot and with a stellar supporting cast including James Coburn, Warren Oates, and L.Q. Jones, it remains a stunning achievement and an essential experience for anyone interested in the life and cinema of “Bloody Sam.” TWO-DISC LIMITED EDITION BLU-RAY CONTENTS The 136-minute Extended Version of the film from a 4K scan, as well as the original 122-minute Theatrical Version 60-page booklet featuring new writing by Farran Nehme, Roderick Heath and Jeremy Carr plus select archive material Limited edition packaging featuring newly commissioned artwork by Tony Stella Fold out poster featuring original and newly commissioned artwork by Tony Stella DISC ONE - EXTENDED VERSION High Definition Blu-ray (1080p) presentation from a 4K scan by Sony Pictures DTS-HD MA 5.1 surround audio with new score by Christopher Caliendo Lossless original mono audio with original score by Daniele Amfitheatrof Optional English subtitles for the deaf and hard of hearing Audio commentary with Nick Redman, David Weddle, Garner Simmons, Paul Seydor Audio commentary by critics Glenn Erickson & Alan K. Description
Sam Peckinpah’s cycle of genre-redefining westerns came to a close with this blood- and dust-caked elegy for the American West, which marries his renegade style with a fatalistic sense of finality. As newly minted lawman Pat Garrett (James Coburn) stalks the outlaw Billy the Kid (Kris Kristofferson) across the plains, their old friendship is twisted into rivalry, and mythic ideals of freedom come up against an emerging ruling-class order—all to the strains of a haunting soundtrack by Bob Dylan (who also appears as the mercurial Alias). Pat Garrett and Billy the Kid—presented here for the first time in three separate versions—stands as perhaps the maverick auteur’s richest, most mature work, a world-weary ballad that bears the solemn weight of history passing into legend. Description
In this brilliant, moving film directed by Sam Peckinpah (The Wild Bunch), cowboy icons Randolph Scott and Joel McCrea find roles to match their leathery Western personas, playing aging lawmen hired to guard a gold shipment. They don’t have much: a horse each, a couple of dollars. And they have everything: their independence. But the frontier is disappearing – and so is space wide open enough for independent men. With luck, the two will find space enough for this ride and one last payday. They will also find adventure, including the dramatic rescue of a mistreated bride (Mariette Hartley), gun-blazing shoot-outs and a life-changing betrayal. Both an exciting Western and a heart-lifting homage to the genre, Ride the High Country is a journey into film greatness.

Description
In this thriller, arguably Sam Peckinpah s most controversial film, David (Dustin Hoffman), a young American mathematician, moves with his English wife, Amy (Susan George), to the village where she grew up. Their sense of safety unravels as the local men David has hired to repair their house prove more interested in leering at Amy and intimidating David, beginning an agonizing initiation into the iron laws of violent masculinity that govern Peckinpah s world. Working outside the U.S. for the first time, the filmmaker airlifts the ruthlessness of the western frontier into Cornwall in Straw Dogs, pushing his characters to their breaking points as the men brutalize Amy and David discovers how far he ll go to protect his home culminating in a harrowing climax that lays out this cinematic mastermind s eloquent and bloody vision of humanity.
