Description

In Mumbai, hospital nurses Prabha and Anu — roommates as well as coworkers — and their friend Parvathy each wrestle with love, longing and precarious lives in a city being reshaped around them. When Parvathy is evicted from her home, the three women travel together to her seaside village, where buried secrets finally surface. Payal Kapadia's Cannes Grand Prix winner is a luminous portrait of friendship among working-class women in modern India.
