Iowa, 1928: Family tragedy had already left Fr. Joseph Steiger (Dan Stevens) wrestling with a crisis of faith when he was tasked to facilitate an exorcism for Emma Schmidt (Abigail Cowen). Skeptical of the process-and of exorcist Fr. Theophilus Riesinger (Al Pacino), who had already once performed the ritual on Schmidt-the inexplicable outcomes of the grueling ritual might shake his doubts. Chilling offering inspired by the U.S.'s first documented exorcism co-stars Ashley Greene, Patricia Heaton, Patrick Fabian. 98 min. Widescreen; Soundtrack: English.
