A Sicilian laborer is swept into political and romantic chaos in Lina Wertmuller's satirical look at class, sex, and power.

Description

Lina Wertmuller's sensuous reprise to "Swept Away" stars Mariangela Melato as wealthy-and environmentally friendly-industrialist Fulvia Bolk, who arranges for the abduction of Beppe (Michelle Placido), a notorious eco-terrorist. Beppe refuses to abstain from sex during his captivity, which suits Fulvia just fine as she finds herself unexpectedly drawn to her handsome prisoner. Lavishly mounted farce co-stars Massimo Wertmuller, Roberto Herlitzka. 103 min
