Description

Stefan, a Romanian construction worker in Brussels, is preparing to travel home to see his mother, perhaps for good. He turns the food left in his fridge into a large pot of soup and hands it out as goodbye presents to the people in his life. While his car is being repaired, he crosses paths with Shuxiu, a Belgian-Chinese doctoral student studying mosses, whose focus on barely visible things catches him off guard. Also included is Ghost Tropic (2019): Khadija, a 58-year-old Maghrebi cleaning woman in Brussels, dozes off on the last train after a shift, wakes at the end of the line, and must cross the city on foot through the night, meeting strangers who help her — and whom she helps — along the way.
