Description

Bruce Robinson and Richard E. Grant followed Withnail and I with this ferocious satire of Thatcher-era capitalism. Grant plays Dennis Bagley, a high-flying advertising man cracking up over a pimple-cream campaign, who grows an enormous boil on his shoulder — one that talks, and has ambitions of its own. The ensuing duel of wills mixes body horror, surreal flourishes, and rapid-fire verbal comedy into a Jekyll-and-Hyde story for the greed-is-good decade.

Description

Trying to rebuild his broken life, a disgraced ex-police officer takes a quiet job as a night watchman at the fire-gutted remains of the once-grand Mayflower department store in New York. But the frightening images staring back at him from the store's elaborate mirrors are more than reflections, and chasing down the truth about the building's past becomes a desperate race — one he has to win before whatever lurks in the glass destroys his whole family.
