Product Description THE TRUE STORY OF A BOY… A GIRL… AND THE MOVIE THAT CHANGED EVERYTHING. During the spring of 1977, sci-fi obsessed teenager Pat Johnson (John Francis Daley, Game Night, “Freaks and Geeks”) finds himself torn between making 8mm sequels to his favorite movies and pursuing the girl of his dreams, Linda (Emmi Chen, Normal). Desperate to help her son escape his likely future in Wadsworth, Illinois, (population 750), his mother Janet (Colleen Camp, Wayne’s World) cold-calls the editor of ‘American Cinematographer’ magazine and Pat soon finds himself on “the ultimate trip” to Hollywood, becoming the very first outsider to see the film that would change him (and movies) forever… Star Wars. But when Pat returns to his hometown existence, he struggles to choose between chasing a seemingly impossible dream and accepting the comforting familiarity of home. Produced by Gary Kurtz (Star Wars: A New Hope, American Graffiti), Fred Roos (The Godfather Part II, St. Vincent) and Leigh Jones (Here Alone) and written & directed by Patrick Read Johnson (Dragonheart, Angus), this heartfelt true story features an incredible supporting cast that includes Austin Pendleton (My Cousin Vinny) and Neil Flynn (Mean Girls) along with an original score by David E. Russo (“Gotham”, Sin City) with additional themes and songs by legendary rock musician Alan Parsons ("The Alan Parsons Project"). SPECIAL FEATURES: Audio Commentary with writer/director Patrick Read Johnson, moderated by Seth Gaven, founder of the A.V. Squad and editor of the film "Spaced Invaders" Q&A from the 2013 Fantasia Film Festival with director Patrick Read Johnson 3 Theatrical Trailers 3 Photo Galleries Optional English Subtitles * Special Features May Not Be Rated, Closed Captioned Or In High Definition. Review "5-25-77" is his [Patrick Read Johnson’s] loosely autobiographical film about the impact of "Star Wars" on his own life as a teenage geek in love with the movies… Johnson has made one of the most loving odes to geekdom ever. It is simply fantastic. --Jim Emerson, Roger Ebert.com Daley’s tremendously appealing and charming turn as the affable protagonist perpetuates the pleasantly easygoing vibe… Johnson delivers an impressively enthralling stretch detailing Pat’s trip to Hollywood… a heartfelt drama. --Real Film Reviews / realfilm.com

Product Description Out for Justice (BD) Amazon.com Steven Seagal has always been an awkward action hero. Initially, he had a certain amount of credibility thanks to his nebulous association with secret government agencies and mastery of aikido, which helped to excuse his bad acting. But as a self-righteous action hero in the vein of Schwarzenegger and Stallone (which helps to explain his bad acting), Seagal fell into unintentional self-parody faster and more dramatically than either of his two predecessors. In Out for Justice, Seagal plays Gino Felino, a Brooklyn-born cop known and respected by everyone--both good and bad--in his neighborhood. The worst of the neighborhood baddies is Richie Madano (William Forsythe), a crack-smoking killer who murders his partner and terrorizes the neighborhood. Technically, Felino is a terrible cop--touching evidence at murder scenes, stealing evidence, intimidating witnesses--but only by breaking those rules can he bring in this horrible criminal. As his soon-to-be-ex-wife discovers, he does everything because he cares too much. Julianna Margulies (ER) has a small but thankless role as Richie's hooker girlfriend, and Gina Gershon (Face/Off, Bound) has an equally thankless role as Richie's foul-mouthed, bar-owning sister. The movie plays like a vanity piece for Seagal, and in that vein, it is fascinating to watch. --Andy Spletzer

Earl Macklin robs a bank owned by the mob, serves his prison time and is released, only to start a war against the crime outfit that owned the bank. NOBODY PLAYS ROUGHER THAN THE OUTFIT... EXCEPT MAYBE EARL, CODY AND BETT! Before he embarked on a roaring rampage of revenge with 1977's Rolling Thunder, director John Flynn made The Outfit, a hard-boiled thriller par excellence, based on a novel by Richard Stark (aka Donald E. Westlake), one of the greatest crime writers who ever lived. Earl Macklin (Robert Duvall, The Godfather) is a professional thief. Once upon a time, he and his brother Eddie robbed a bank together. Unfortunately, that bank was owned by criminal syndicate "The Outfit". Now Eddie is dead and it looks like Earl is next. But "The Outfit" hasn't counted on Earl's iron will. Released from a 27-month stretch in prison, Earl wants to get even and, with girlfriend Bett (Karen Black, Five Easy Pieces) and best friend Cody (Joe Don Baker, Walking Tall), he begins a private war to avenge the death of his brother. The entire criminal underworld is about to learn an unforgettable lesson: never mess with Earl Macklin. With a score by Peckinpah regular Jerry Fielding, gritty cinematography by Bruce Surtees (The Shootist), and a veritable rogues gallery of classic character actors including Robert Ryan (The Wild Bunch), Timothy Carey (The Killing), Richard Jaeckel (The Dirty Dozen), and Bill McKinney (Deliverance), The Outfit is as tough, taut, and relentless as its protagonist. Four coeds from snowbound Penmore U. know that the only place to be during Spring Break is Where the Boys Are. The rites (and wrongs) of the spring migration of thousands of college students to sunny Fort Lauderdale are celebrated in an era-defining film that combines a cast of 1960s up-and-comers with youthful hijinks and a cautionary will-she-or-won't-she storyline of sex and romance. Among the girls seeking the perfect tan and man are Dolores Hart, Yvette Mimieux, Paula Prentiss and Connie Francis (who also performs the hit title tune and the zippy "Turn on the Sunshine"). Among the guys: George Hamilton, Jim Hutton and Frank Gorshin. So many chances for love. So little time! | | Product details | Aspect Ratio : Unknown
