With stunning new 4K restorations from the original camera negatives, ClassicFlix brings the first 13 episodes of the late 50s crime drama Lock Up to Blu-ray. Boasting "true stories of people unjustly accused," and featuring extensive location shooting in and around Los Angeles, prolific production company Ziv TV introduced Lock Up to the viewing public in 1959. To head the cast, Ziv chose former leading man Macdonald Carey who would bring an earnestness and dedication to his portrayal of real-life attorney Herbert L. Maris-a corporate lawyer who was burdened to spend much of his time on criminal cases in order to free the innocent. Character great John Doucette plays detective Lt. Jim Weston in each episode, who, though initially skeptical or too busy, eventually goes out of his way to seek out and uncover vital facts to ensure the acquittal of Maris' clients. Each gripping episode in Lock Up - Season 1, Volume 1 also features a stellar guest star line-up of familiar silver and small screen faces such as Robert Conrad, Harry Dean Stanton, Dyan Cannon, Linda Lawson, Gavin MacLeod, Ellen Corby, Leo Gordon, Whit Bissell, Nancy Gates, James Griffith, Jay Novello, Myron Healey, Peter Leeds, Kasey Rogers, Karl Swenson, Richard Reeves, June Blair, Joseph Crehan, Charles Maxwell, Arthur Batanides, Addison Richards, House Peters Jr., and many more.
