This terrifying reworking of the 1971 horror fave boasts an appropriately creepy performance by Crispin Glover as the lonely and quirky title character who befriends a rat named Socrates and, eventually, lots of his furry friends. The put-upon Willard calls on his rodent army to attack when his boss (R. Lee Ermey) harasses him one time too many. Laura Elena Harring, Jackie Burroughs, Ashlyn Gere also star in this whisker-laden shockfest. 100 min. Widescreen; Soundtrack: English; Subtitles: English.
