The 4K UHD disc of Tai Chi Master — Hong Kong Cinema Classics #3 in Shout's ten-disc Jet Li Collection — contains the film in 4K Dolby Vision (new 4K restoration from the original camera negative) with a new audio commentary by Hong Kong film critic James Mudge. The film's remaining extras ('Tai Chi Madam – The Michelle Yeoh Effect', the Chin Siu-Ho interview 'Nemesis', 'The Birthplace of Tai Chi', 'Meditations on the Master', 'Twin Warriors', the English-language opening credits and the trailer) are on the set's Blu-ray disc of this film, which the store does not list as a separate product. Junbao and Tianbo, two Shaolin monks with opposite temperaments — one gentle and unassuming, the other hot-headed and ambitious — are thrown out of their temple over a cheating accusation they didn't commit. Their lives split in opposite directions until a betrayal brings them face to face as enemies and Tianbo nearly kills his old friend. Recovering from the fight, the calmer monk unlocks the strength hidden in the slow, flowing movements of tai chi.
