Disc 9 contains The Jade Faced Assassin (1971), plus 'Facing the Fury', a featurette with Chinese history academic Dr. Lars Laamann on the period provocations of the film, audio commentary by cult film expert Ian Jane, and newly translated optional English subtitles. Wounded in a mishap, the swordsman Zhang Zhen is rescued by the Eldest Sister of the Changchun Sect, who quietly harbors feelings for him. Zhang, however, gives his heart to the maid Yuenu, and the two become parents of twins. When a band of wicked martial artists later murders the couple, the Eldest Sister — bitter that Zhang spurned her — schemes to one day turn his children against each other in revenge. Zhang's friend Lian Lanyan rescues the baby girl, Xiaolu'er, but the boy, Hua Yuchun, is carried off by the Eldest Sister. Lian then crosses paths with the Ten Villains, who overpower him and leave him unconscious. The Villains take Xiaolu'er for themselves; rather than hurt her, they mean to raise her into the most formidable villain of all. Eighteen years on, chance brings the twins face to face.
