Description
Rock Hudson, Piper Laurie, Charles Coburn and Gigi Perreau star in Has Anybody Seen My Gal?, the charming musical comedy about second chances from legendary director Douglas Sirk (All That Heaven Allows, There’s Always Tomorrow, The Tarnished Angels). The year is 1928. When elderly millionaire Samuel Fulton (Coburn) reflects on his life and the love that got away, he decides to bequeath his fortune to his late beloved’s existing family—if they’re worthy, of course. Disguising himself as a poor lodger, he takes up residence with the middle-class Blaisdells to see how they react to receiving a small portion of the funds. Money soon leads to mayhem, but even Samuel finds redemption in their foolish choices in this endearing comic romp. The toe-tapping tunes of the Twenties include “Tiger Rag,” “When the Red, Red Robin Comes Bob, Bob, Bobbin’ Along,” “It Ain’t Gonna Rain No More,” and “Gimme a Little Kiss, Will Ya, Huh?” And featuring an uncredited James Dean as a soda fountain patron. It's the cat's meow—in Technicolor! Special Features: • Brand New HD Master – From a 2K Scan of the 35mm Interpositive • NEW Audio Commentary by Actress Piper Laurie, Moderated by Film Critic/Historian Lee Gambin • FUN ON THE LOT (2008): Piper Laurie and Gigi Perreau Remember HAS ANYBODY SEEN MY GAL? • Theatrical Trailer (Newly Mastered in 2K) • Optional English Subtitles

Description
Reckless playboy Bob Merrick (Rock Hudson, in his breakthrough role) crashes his speedboat, requiring emergency attention from the town’s only resuscitator—at the very moment that a beloved local doctor has a heart attack and dies waiting for the lifesaving device. Thus begins one of Douglas Sirk’s most flamboyant master classes in melodrama, a delirious Technicolor mix of the sudsy and the spiritual in which Bob and the doctor’s widow, Helen (Jane Wyman), find themselves inextricably linked amid a series of increasingly wild twists, turns, trials, and tribulations. TWO BLU RAY SPECIAL EDITION FEATURES • High definition digital restoration, with uncompressed monaural soundtrack • Audio commentary from 2008 featuring film scholar Thomas Doherty • Magnificent Obsession, John M. Stahl’s 1935 adaptation of the same novel, newly restored • From UFA to Hollywood: Douglas Sirk Remembers (1991), a documentary by German filmmaker Eckhart Schmidt • Interviews from 2008 with filmmakers Allison Anders and Kathryn Bigelow, in which they pay tribute to Sirk • Theatrical trailer • PLUS: An essay by critic Geoffrey O’Brien

Description
Brand New 2K Master! He led the Apache nation against Geronimo’s pillaging hordes! The two sons of Apache leader Cochise (Jeff Chandler, Broken Arrow) have conflicting views of the white men who trespass their land. Taza (Rock Hudson, Bend of the River) argues for peaceful co-existence, but his younger brother Naiche (Rex Reason, This Island Earth) joins Geronimo (Ian MacDonald, High Noon) on the warpath. One of the few westerns made in the 1950s that attempted to present a positive view of Native Americans, Taza, Son of Cochise, co-starring Barbara Rush (Magnificent Obsession), was the second of eight movies that Hudson made with director Douglas Sirk (The Tarnished Angels). Filmed on location in Utah, the natural setting of the desert is one of the movie’s many assets which is vividly captured by the glorious Technicolor cinematography by the great Russell Metty (Spartacus, Midnight Lace). This special edition includes both the 3-D and 2-D versions of the film. 3-D restoration by 3-D Film Archive! Special Features: -Brand New 2K Restoration -Includes both the 3-D and 2-D Versions of the Films -NEW Audio Commentary by Film Historian David Del Valle, Author/Screenwriter C. Courtney Joyner and 3-D Expert Mike Ballew -Optional English Subtitles -Dual-Layered BD50 Disc -Theatrical Trailer

Description
The Technicolor expressionism of Douglas Sirk reached a fever pitch with this operatic tragedy, which finds the director pushing his florid visuals and his critiques of American culture to their subversive extremes. Alcoholism, nymphomania, impotence, and deadly jealousy—these are just some of the toxins coursing through a massively wealthy, degenerate Texan oil family. When a sensible secretary (Lauren Bacall) has the misfortune of marrying the clan’s neurotic scion (Robert Stack), it drives a wedge between him and his lifelong best friend (Rock Hudson) that unleashes a maelstrom of psychosexual angst and fury. Featuring an unforgettably debauched, Oscar-winning supporting performance by Dorothy Malone and some of Sirk’s most eye-popping mise-en-scène, Written on the Wind is as perverse a family portrait as has ever been splashed across the screen. BLU-RAY SPECIAL EDITION FEATURES New 2K digital restoration, with uncompressed monaural soundtrack Acting for Douglas Sirk, a 2008 documentary featuring archival interviews with Sirk; actors Rock Hudson, Robert Stack, and Dorothy Malone; and producer Albert Zugsmith New interview with film scholar Patricia White about the film and melodrama Trailer English subtitles for the deaf and hard of hearing PLUS: An essay by filmmaker and critic Blair McClendon
