Description

*This listing is for the standard edition version and does NOT come with a limited edition slipcase!* Vinegar Syndrome specializes in the masterful restoration and distribution of cult, horror, and erotic films from the 1960s-90s. Following a well-needed two-year hiatus, the erudite Dr. Francis B. Gröss returns to further ponder and expose the mysteries of death. Hardly content with his initial morbid surveys of the forbidden, rarely discussed topic of how life ends, he pushes further to show nature's wintry grasp on life, how finality arrives in the boxing ring, and other lethal sights so shockingly primal they beg to be seen. Enthusiastically expanding his sweeping investigations on crime and human atrocities, Gröss paints a shattering and unparalleled portrait of mortality. Following the unprecedented success of its shocking predecessor, the filmmakers behind Faces of Death created a film even more unsettling in its stark and unflinching realism, offering an even deeper descent into the depravity and savagery of humanity with FACES OF DEATH II (1981). From fatal accidents to the unspeakable cruelty of war, medical experiments, and other abominable acts too heinous to describe, no facet of man’s destruction of his fellow man is left unexplored. Vinegar Syndrome Archive reluctantly brings this even more notorious sequel to 4K UHD and Blu-ray, presented in its fully uncut and uncensored original theatrical version, available for the first time on video in the US, newly restored from its 35mm negative.
