Product Description Back in the '90s, martial arts prodigies Danny (Alain Uy), Hing (Ron Yuan) and Jim (Mykel Shannon Jenkins) were solid friends and the pride of their dojo. Those days have long since given way to the sundry aches and pains of middle age-but when their onetime master is murdered, these creaky combatants have to find the will and the wind to take their vengeance. Affable action-comedy also stars Roger Yuan, Joziah Lagonoy, Matthew Page, Yoshi Sudarso. 108 min. Widescreen; Soundtrack: English. Review Tran undoubtedly aims for an old school Hong Kong comedy martial arts movie feel, lighthearted and light on its feet, and he lands that punch dead on. But rather than a knock-out punch, it's a tickle on the ribs and a tussling of the hair. --Austin Chronicle The Paper Tigers is crafted with a sense of passion that can only come from a filmmaker who is eager to express their own intimate creativity. Which is impressive for a feature film debut. --Film Inquiry Even casual fans of the Jackie Chan School of Martial Arts Comedy will find copious delight in the high-kicking hi-jinx of Bao Tran's slick, impressive, value-driven debut, a fun film that delivers quality action along with some nimble human moments. --jimschembri.com See more
