THE WORLDWIDE BLU-RAY PREMIERE RESTORED UNCUT WITH 3+ HOURS OF SPECIAL FEATURES Amid the cultural chaos of 1968 and armed with a budget of only $70,000, producer/director/cinematographer Russ Meyer transcended sexploitation by crafting this bosomacious melodrama (Time Magazine) about racism, communism, bush pilots, draft dodgers and a ferociously free-spirited wife named Vixen (the incredible Erica Gavin of BEYOND THE VALLEY OF THE DOLLS and CAGED HEAT). Despite attempts at censorship that included one of the first-ever X ratings and 23 separate U.S. prosecutions for obscenity, it became one of the year's top-grossing movies, forever transformed independent film and remains the creative template for Meyer's unapologetic vision of American cinema. VIXEN is now scanned in 4K from the original negative restored by The Museum of Modern Art with over 3 hours of new and archival Special Features curated by Severin Films in conjunction with The Russ Meyer Trust. Special Features 1981 Censor Prologue (Theatrical Re-Release) Archival Audio Commentary With Co-Writer/Producer/Cinematographer/Co-Editor/Director Russ Meyer Audio Commentary With Actress Erica Gavin Woman... Peter Peter Watkins' BBC docudrama depicts a nuclear attack on Great Britain. For three decades it was considered "too horrifying" to be broadcast. THE WORLDWIDE UHD PREMIERE TWO-DISC COLLECTION WITH 5+ HOURS OF SPECIAL FEATURES In 1965, filmmaker Peter Watkins (PRIVILEGE, PUNISHMENT PARK) recruited 350 amateur actors, utilized direct quotes from civil defense manuals and employed newsreel-like recreations to craft a BBC documentary drama that depicted a nuclear attack on Great Britain. Product Description What? [BLU-RAY] Review A Very Thorough And Rewarding Package Overall For One Of Polanski's Most Obscure, Misunderstood Works. - --Mondo Digital

Description

When the Wind Blows (1986)-writer Raymond Briggs' adaptation of his own graphic novel, brought to the screen by director Jimmy T. Murakami-is an enchantingly collage-like animated film (featuring drawn, stop-motion, and live-action sequences) on a very grim subject, indeed: the effects of nuclear holocaust on an ordinary English couple. James and Hilda Bloggs (perfectly voiced by acting legends John Mills and Peggy Ashcroft) are a happy, near-elderly pair living in the lovely rural countryside when-seemingly out of nowhere-disaster beyond all imagining strikes. Featuring a score by Roger Waters (late of Pink Floyd), with a title song from David Bowie and contributions from Genesis, Squeeze, and Paul Hardcastle.

Description

Product Description After a deadly virus is stolen from a government facility, it will unleash a "wildly entertaining" (Realm Of Horror) combination of Fulci's signature extreme violence, Mattei/Fragasso-style surreal logic, and big bloody buckets of goo-spewing mayhem that must be seen to be believed.
