Hobbs End, Knightsbridge, London. While working on a new subway tunnel for the London Underground, a group of construction workers uncover a strangely shaped skull. Nearby, another discovery: a large, mysterious and impenetrable metal object. Initially mistaken for an unexploded bomb, the object and its strange power turn out to be far more horrific than anybody could have possibly imagined. Is it of this earth? Could it be the ancestral link to mankind's evolution? Or could it be an ancient link to the unleashing of the ultimate evil? There's only one man capable of unravelling the clues, and his name is Professor Bernard Quatermass (Andrew Keir), a man of science who thrives on the dark mysteries of the world… Written by legendary screenwriter Nigel Kneale, Quatermass And The Pit is a seminal British sci-fi classic. Under the spell of a wandering charlatan named Starbuck, a lonely ranch girl blossoms into full womanhood in The Rainmaker. Katharine Hepburn (The Lion in Winter) garnered an Oscar nomination as the (believably plain yet magnificently beautiful) tomboy rancher, with Burt Lancaster (Elmer Gantry) brilliantly cast in the role of the smooth-talking con man who sells his rainmaking powers to unsuspecting, drought-ridden western towns. Writer N. Richard Nash (Porgy and Bess) meticulously enlarges his Broadway play to the big screen without losing any of the earthy, gut-wrenching emotions or the sheer, hilarious fun. The result is a genuinely appealing and beautifully executed romance directed by Joseph Anthony (The Matchmaker). Featuring Wendell Corey (I Walk Alone), Lloyd Bridges (Canyon Passage), Earl Holliman (Giant), Cameron Prud’Homme (Back from Eternity) and Wallace Ford (Flesh and Fury). Special Features: -Remastered in HD by Paramount Pictures – From a 6K Scan of the 35mm VistaVision Original Camera Negative -NEW Audio Commentary by Film Historian and Writer Julie Kirgo -Theatrical Trailer -Optional English Subtitles

Description
Rancho Deluxe [Blu-ray] Before he was the Dude, Jeff Bridges portrayed another affable stoner: Jack McKee in director Frank Perry’s laid-back comedy Rancho Deluxe, which happily takes aim at the mythology of the Wild West. Bridges (Starman and The Big Lebowski) and Sam Waterston (The Killing Fields and TV’s Law & Order) are a pair of hippie cattle rustlers who draw the ire of a wealthy Montana ranch owner (Clifton James, Live and Let Die and Superman II) in this wild and unpredictable acid western penned by acclaimed novelist Tom McGuane (92 in the Shade and The Missouri Breaks). The main ensemble is rounded out by Elizabeth Ashley (Vampire’s Kiss) as the rancher’s bored wife, Harry Dean Stanton (Alien and Repo Man) and Richard Bright (the Godfather series) as their bumbling employees, and Slim Pickens (Dr. Strangelove and Blazing Saddles) as an ancient livestock detective tended to by his beautiful niece (Charlene Dallas, Cops and Robbers). In the supporting cast are cult icons Joe Spinell (Maniac) and Patti D’Arbanville (Bilitis). For Perry, this motley collection fits comfortably alongside the many oddballs and misfits who populate his diverse oeuvre, which includes films like The Swimmer, Last Summer, Play It as It Lays and Diary of a Mad Housewife. Legendary singer-songwriter Jimmy Buffett provides the film’s rollicking song score and performs on camera in a nightclub sequence. The breathtaking Big Sky Country scenery, shot by cinematographer William A. Fraker (Bullitt and Rosemary’s Baby), looks more stunning than it has in decades in this world-premiere Blu-ray restoration of Rancho Deluxe. ACTORS: Jeff Bridges, Sam Waterston, Elizabeth Ashley, Clifton James, Harry Dean Stanton BONUS FEATURES: Region A Blu-ray New 2K restoration from its 35mm interpositive Video interview with Jeff Bridges Video interview with Tom McGuane Audio commentary Booklet essay Extra TV version scenes Trailer English subtitles for the deaf and hard of hearing"

From Andrew V. McLaglen, the acclaimed director of Shenandoah, The Way West, The Devil’s Brigade, Chisum, Ffolkes and The Wild Geese, comes this epic western based on America’s acquisition of English Hereford cattle (which would phase out Texas longhorns). In the 1880s, Englishwoman Martha Price (Maureen O’Hara, The Quiet Man, Lisbon) and her daughter Hilary (Juliet Mills, Avanti!) come to America to sell their prize Hereford bull at an auction. When he is purchased by Bowen, a wild Scotsman (Brian Keith, Something Big), the women hire a footloose cowhand named Burnett (James Stewart, Bend of the River, Night Passage) to help them transport the animal to its new owner. So begins an adventure that tests the mettle of all involved as they battle killers, stampedes and each other. But when they reach Bowen’s ranch, even greater obstacles force them to summon up extraordinary courage, if they, and the prize bull, are to survive. This wonderful frontier comedy co-stars western legends Ben Johnson (The Wild Bunch), Jack Elam (Support Your Local Gunfighter) and Harry Carey Jr. (Man of the East). The legendary “Triumvirate of Terror”—Vincent Price (Scream and Scream Again), Peter Lorre (The Comedy of Terrors) and Boris Karloff (The Crimson Cult)—star in this twisted tale of sorcery most fowl! Director Roger Corman (The Tomb of Ligeia) and screenwriter Richard Matheson (The Last Man on Earth) deliver a tongue-in-cheek take on Edgar Allan Poe’s most famous poem. Dr. Craven (Price), the son of a great sorcerer (now dead), was once himself quite skilled at that profession, but has since abandoned it. One evening, a cowardly fool of a magician named Bedlo (Lorre) comes to Craven for help—the evil Scarabus (Karloff) has turned him into a raven and he needs someone to change him back. He also tells the reluctant wizard that Craven’s long-lost wife Lenore (Hazel Court, The Premature Burial), whom he loved greatly and thought dead, is living with the despised Scarabus. Featuring Jack Nicholson (Prizzi’s Honor) in an early screen role, this Corman-Poe classic about two wizards dueling for magical supremacy is utterly bewitching! Special Features: -NEW Audio Commentary by Film Historian David Del Valle -Corman’s Comedy of Poe: An Interview with Producer/Director Roger Corman -Richard Matheson: Storyteller -TRAILERS FROM HELL with Mick Garris -Theatrical Trailer

Description
NOTE: THIS SPECIAL EDITION IS LIMITED TO THE FIRST 5,000 UNITS. Beautifully restored in this special edition. All Joe Sullivan wants is "a breath of fresh air." But when you're serving time in stir for robbery, fresh air is a rare commodity. That's about to change though as mob boss Rick Coyle has greased the skids inside the prison walls, so Joe can make it outside where girlfriend Pat will be waiting. But things don't exactly go as planned for the duo as car trouble during their getaway forces them to get help from the only person nearby -- strait-laced legal assistant Ann Martin, whom they kidnap and use to evade capture. Things aren't going as planned for Rick either who set up the escape fully expecting the fugitive to get "cut down" so he could keep the $50,000 he owes Joe for taking the rap for him. Now past the dragnet, the trio each find themselves increasingly conflicted in their loyalties and core beliefs as Joe is torn between the two women, who both care for him, while Pat and Ann each make decisions that prove they're not as bad, or as good, as they're supposed to be. Raw Deal presents the moviemaking team of director Anthony Mann and cinematographer John Alton at the peak of their success (fresh off their box office smash T-Men), offering dark, moody atmosphere filled with fog-shrouded landscapes and characters who are no strangers to the "left-handed endeavor" of crime. Scenarist John C. Higgins (He Walked by Night) and co-writer Leopold Atlas offer a taut, suspenseful tale of one man s desperate bid for freedom and the two women who love him. Dennis O'Keefe, star of the earlier T-Men, contributes a first-rate performance as the determined Joe, with Marsha Hunt (Pride and Prejudice) as Ann and Oscar winning actress Claire Trevor (Key Largo) as the fiercely loyal Pat. Raw Deal also features a suitably slimy Raymond Burr as Rick, John Ireland as Burr's sadistic henchman Fantail, and noir standbys Regis Toomey and Whit Bissell. Raw Deal is film noir at its finest! BONUS FEATURES (Blu-ray Only): - Feature length audio commentary by author and film historian Jeremy Arnold Deadly is the Male: The Making of Raw Deal - A Featurette with writer and film historian Julie Kirgo, film historian and director Courtney Joyner and biographer and producer Alan K. He is held by an ancient seal, imprisoned for centuries in a barren field near the hamlet of Rathmore, Ireland. In time, this gruesome legacy has been forgotten, dismissed as an odd pre-Christian myth until Tom Garron (Donal McCann) decides to plow the field his ancestors knew better than to disturb. The seal is broken and an unspeakable evil is unleashed - on a rampage of blood and lust. Howard Hallenbeck (David Dukes), an American historian on a working vacation with his family, discovers on the stained glass windows of a local church a series of scenes illustrating the reign of terror of RawHead Rex, but the one piece of glass depicting the defeat of the monster is missing. RawHead Rex is on the loose, and he is insatiable as Howard desperately races against time for a way to stop the vicious monster. Directed by George Pavlou (Transmutations) with a screenplay by horror legend Clive Barker (Hellraiser, Candyman, Nightbreed, Lord of Illusions). *This listing is for the standard edition version and does NOT come with a limited edition slipcase!* The lives of three residents of Redlands, California, intersect and ultimately collide in this claustrophobic exploration of radical creativity, sexuality and violence in America. Vienna (Nicole Fox’s, America’s Next Top Model) is a young “alternative” nude model who lives with her musician boyfriend Zack (Sam Brittan) in Redlands, California – a bleak Inland Empire city sixty miles east of Los Angeles. Controlling and hypocritical, Zack uses Vienna’s earnings to further his own musical career as Vienna attempts to build a creative life of her own. Their lives are forever changed when Vienna meets Allan (Clifford Morts), a balding middle-aged amateur glamour photographer; unemployed and recently divorced, Allan’s unassuming behavior camouflages his feelings of inadequacy and his building resentment toward others. John Brian King’s unflinchingly nihilistic neo-noir is…"Artfully evocative – of alienation, the constraints on ambition and the danger of unexpressed anger – and profoundly disturbing.” (Michael O’Sullivan, The Washington Post) Bonus Features: 1. Description
No films better represent the 1970s midnight movie phenomenon as Reefer Madness and Sex Madness: two finger-wagging camp classics that hysterically warned the public of the horrors of marijuana and syphilis. But the more we discover about the exploitation genre, the more we learn the true hep cats were the ones who made the films: ruthless opportunists who produced raunchy, ribald melodramas loaded with sex, drugs, and violence, and enabled them to be shown by wrapping them in a tissue-thin pseudoeducational message. These two essential cult favorites are presented in definitive editions, meticulously restored from 35mm elements. Special Features: -Audio commentary for Reefer Madness by Eric Schaefer, author of Bold! Daring! Shocking True! A History of Exploitation Films, 1919-1959 -Assassin of Youth (abridged version) -High on the Range (1924, excerpt) -Gallery of exploitation trailers, including Reefer Madness, Cocaine Fiends, Marihuana: Weed With Roots in Hell, Narcotic, and more -Radio spots: The Narcotic Story, Reefer Ruin, Metamorphosis and the Weed
