*This listing is for the standard edition version and does NOT come with a limited edition slipcase!* Vinegar Syndrome specializes in the masterful restoration and distribution of cult, horror, and erotic films from the 1960s-90s. Trelkovsky, freshly arrived in Paris, is in desperate need of a place to live. After inquiring at a large apartment complex run by the brooding Monsieur Zy, he’s offered the room of Simone Choule, a resident who recently attempted suicide by throwing herself out of the window. Undeterred by this macabre event, Trelkovsky is happy to move in. Shortly thereafter, he meets Stella, Simone's friend, and does his best to comfort and befriend her. Quickly integrating into Stella’s bohemian social scene, Trelkovsky hopes that his life is finally turning a corner; that is, until his new neighbors begin acting strangely, making wild accusations against him, and displaying increasingly sinister and violent behaviors. As the weeks go on, Trelkovsky begins to suspect that something is very wrong in the stuffy old building and that Simone’s fatal plunge might not have been her own doing… From maverick director Roman Polanski (Chinatown, Rosemary’s Baby) comes one of the most unusual and unsettling studio thrillers of the 1970s: THE TENANT. "Striking a zeitgeist nerve, Wild in the Streets stars Christopher Jones (Ryan s Daughter) as Max Frost, rock singer and poster boy for the counterculture revolution of the 60 s. While performing with his band The Troopers at a political rally for Senate candidate Johnny Fergus (Hal Holbrook, Into the Wild), Max seizes the opportunity to spout his own political philosophies which include, among other things, that the voting age should be lowered to 14. And thus begins the tale of Max s meteoric rise. But as he moves further and further into uncharted waters, first as a voice for the youth movement (or is he just a mouthpiece for opportunist politicians?) and then as a nominee for President of the United States, Max will not bend to the will of the old guard. Instead he begins implementing his own ideas of what would make a better world, including re-education camps for those over the age of 35 along with a liberal dosing of LSD. Wild in the Streets, directed by Barry Shear (Across 110th Street), co-stars Shelley Winters (The Night of the Hunter) as Max s mother; Millie Perkins (The Diary of Anne Frank) as Senator Fergus daughter Mary, and Richard Pryor (Silver Streak) as Stanley X, The Troopers drummer."

Product Description Based on the bestselling novel, a character driven, coming of age story, set in WWII German occupied Netherlands, filled with the adventure, uncertainty and tragedy of war. Amazon.com The gleaming snowy landscape of the Netherlands provides a stark backdrop to a gripping fusion of Nazi occupation and coming-of-age story. Michiel (Martijn Lakemeier), son of the mayor of a town occupied by the German army, gets into mild rebellious trouble--until he discovers a downed British pilot (Jamie Campbell Bower) hidden in the nearby woods. Rather than turn to his father (Raymond Thiry), who tries to placate the Nazis, Michiel seeks help from his uncle Ben (Yorick van Wageningen), who has ties to the Resistance… and in so doing, sets a tragic series of events in motion. Winter in Wartime is a mild title for such a compelling, emotionally powerful movie, packed with several edge-of-your-seat suspense sequences, including one at the end that's downright Hitchcockian. The action is all the more compelling because it's grounded in well-realized characters, a clean and propulsive story, attention to the details of daily life, and outstanding performances from a uniformly strong cast. It's no surprise that Winter in Wartime outgrossed international hits like Twilight and The Dark Knight in its home country. This is a marvelous movie that deserves to be just as popular abroad. --Bret Fetzer

Directed by the Turkish cinema master, Nuri Bilge Ceylan, this enthralling, brilliantly photographed film won the top prize at the 2014 Cannes Film Festival and was Turkey's entrant in the Oscar Best Foreign Language Film category. Ceylan's "Once Upon A Time in Anatolia" had shared the top prize at Cannes in 2011. Set in the amazingly picturesque Cappadocia region in central Turkey, the exterior scenes strikingly capture the remarkable topography a World Heritage site while the interior scenes bring Rembrandt to mind. A retired actor has inherited a small hotel where he is ensconced with his recently divorced sister, his much younger and growingly discontented wife. A seemingly trivial incident sets in motion a drama of personalities at odds with each other and the paths their lives have taken. The superb cast of actors quickly takes your attention and won't let it go.

Product Description Following his delightful full-length ballet Alice's Adventures in Wonderland, Christopher Wheeldon continues his highly successful collaboration with designer Bob Crowley and composer Joby Talbot to create his first ballet based on a Shakespeare play, the late romance The Winter's Tale. The story follows the destruction of marriage through consuming jealousy, the abandonment of a child, and a seemingly hopeless love. Yet through remorse and regret-and after a statue comes miraculously to life-the ending is one of forgiveness and reconciliation. It is powerful material for ballet, with a story that allows for the portrayal of intense emotions between and within the characters, and the opportunity for the Company to create not just new central characters, but the whole world around them. Review "Steven McRae and Sarah Lamb lead the company in flurries of joyful movement in a buoyant Act II, as the plot turns into a hugely enjoyable caper. By the time they're in a chase across the high seas, you'll be hooked." --Evening Standard "Christopher Wheeldon rises to the challenge of translating Shakespeare into dance, creating one of most fully achieved story ballets to be staged at Covent Garden in years. Yet Christopher Wheeldon has turned these challenges into inspiration. Together with composer Joby Talbot and designer Bob Crowley (whose mix of video, light and set design vividly illuminates the story), Wheeldon has used this play to develop the most expressive and inventive dance language we've yet seen from him." --The Guardian "Christopher Wheeldon rises to the challenge of translating Shakespeare into dance, creating one of most fully achieved story ballets to be staged at Covent Garden in years.
