Product Description Make Way for Tomorrow, by Leo McCarey (An Affair to Remember), is one of the great unsung Hollywood masterpieces, an enormously moving Depression-era depiction of the frustrations of family, aging, and the generation gap. Beulah Bondi (It's a Wonderful Life) and Victor Moore (Swing Time) headline a cast of incomparable character actors, starring as an elderly couple who must move in with their grown children after the bank takes their home, yet end up separated and subject to their offspring's selfish whims. An inspiration for Yasujiro Ozu's Tokyo Story, this is among American cinema's purest tearjerkers, all the way to it's unflinching ending, which McCarey refused to change despite studio pressure. Five-disc set includes: I'm All Right, Jack (1959)Having flopped at every desk job he tried, privileged but hapless Stanley Windrush (Ian Carmichael) got hired for unskilled labor at his uncle's missile factory. Though eventually winning over suspicious shop steward Fred Kite (Peter Sellers), Stanley's gung-ho attitude makes him the focus for backfiring conniving by both union and management. Satirical follow-up to "Private's Progress" from the Boulting Brothers co-stars Terry-Thomas, Dennis Price, Richard Attenborough, Margaret Rutherford. 104 min. BW/Rtg: NR Man In A Cocked Hat (1959)After Britain forgot that it granted independence to a tiny island nation 40 years earlier, it faced a scramble to head off the ex-colony's dealings with the Soviets over valuable mineral resources. Unfortunately, the job was in the hands of hapless Foreign Office functionary Cadogan de Vere Carlton-Browne (Terry-Thomas), who may be played like a fiddle by the prime minister (Peter Sellers). Delightful Boulting Brothers satire co-stars Luciana Paluzzi, Ian Bannen, Thorley Walters. AKA "Carlton-Browne of the F.O." 88 min. BW/Rtg: TV-PG Two-Way Stretch (1960)Hilarious comic caper stars Peter Sellers as a pampered prisoner who, along with his two cellmates, plans a diamond heist that involves the trio breaking out of-then back into-jail, thus giving them an air-tight alibi. But the arrival of a new no-nonsense head guard threatens to put a crimp on their seemingly foolproof plan. David Lodge, Bernard Cribbins, Wilfrid Hyde-White co-star. 87 min. BW/Rtg: NR The Wrong Arm Of The Law (1963)Peter Sellers is Pearly Gates, a London underworld boss whose empire is under attack, in this crime spree comedy. (1963)Kindly prison chaplain John Smallwood (Peter Sellers) found himself (mistakenly) reassigned as vicar to the small industrial town of Orbiston Parva. Unfortunately, it doesn't take long for Smallwood's notions of charitable attention to the community's less fortunate residents to start galling it's upper crust-leaving the church hierarchy scrambling for a solution. Gentle satire from the Boulting Brothers co-stars Cecil Parker, Isabel Jeans, Ian Carmichael, Brock Peters. 118 min. BW/Rtg: NR Widescreen; Soundtrack: English.

Nothing will stop him now. Not the winter's bitter cold. Not the knife-like stabs of hunger. Brutally wounded mountain man Zachary Bass (Richard Harris), left for dead by his furtrapping partners, somehow pushes on. And he's driven by one of the most relentless powers in all nature: revenge. In Man in the Wilderness, Harris (Unforgiven) recaptures the ferocity and heroism of his A Man Called Horse. Bass makes a 600-mile journey of vengeance across the 1820s American Northwest -- facing every obstacle with a savagery greater than the untamed wilds. Two-time Oscar winner John Huston* plays Captain Henry, a weathered, craggy-voiced tyrant haunted by the fear that the man he's sure is dead will somehow return. Called "extraordinary uncompromising in the utmost" by the Los Angeles Times, Man in the Wilderness is fury come to vivid life. No other man would have lasted a day, but Zach Bass triumphs in the adventure of a lifetime.

In this acclaimed biopic from director Miloš Forman (One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest, Amadeus), Jim Carrey (Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind) disappears into the role of the late Andy Kaufman—considered the most innovative, eccentric and enigmatic comic of his time. A master at manipulating audiences, Kaufman could generate belly laughs, stony silences, tears or brawls. Whether inviting the audience out for milk and cookies or challenging women to intergender wrestling matches, he specialized in creating performances so real that even his close friends were never sure where the truth lay. Also starring Danny DeVito (Get Shorty) as Kaufman’s manager, Courtney Love (The People vs. Larry Flynt) as the woman Andy falls in love with and Paul Giamatti (Sideways) as his best friend. You’ll stand up and cheer for Carrey’s hilariously uncanny performance that “may be a better Andy Kaufman than Andy Kaufman” (Newsweek). This 2-disc Blu-ray collection presents four films by legendary filmmaker François Truffaut, one of the French New Wave’s brilliant architects: THE WILD CHILD (1970), an absorbing drama based on the true account of 18th-century doctor Jean-Marc-Gaspard Itard, played by Truffaut himself in a memorable performance; SMALL CHANGE (1976), a tribute to the joys, yearnings, pains and wonders of childhood; THE MAN WHO LOVED WOMEN (1977), an irresistibly sophisticated comedy that paints the delirious portrait of a saturnine satyr who worships the feminine spirit—the idea of woman; and THE GREEN ROOM (1978), a most personal and rigorous film in which Truffaut stars as Julien Davenne, a man who so loves the dead that he can no longer love the living. Anyone who doesn't think Steve Martin is one of the funniest fellows on the planet should have his head examined. As The Man with Two Brains, madman Martin is just the guy to do it, playing Dr. Michael Hfuhruhurr, famed originator of screw top, zip lock brain surgery. The good doctor pines for his late wife -- but slinky siren Dolores Benedict (Kathleen Turner) sashays into his life and changes all that. They're soon married, but the truth quickly emerges: Dolores' beauty hides a calculating heart of stone. The situation is hopeless -- until another brain specialist's oddball research offers a bizarre ray of hope. Anyone with half a brain will rejoice in the sheer lunacy of this sublimely silly farce, directed and cowritten by frequent Martin collaborator Carl Reiner (The Jerk, All of Me).

Dive into the delightfully offbeat 1987 romantic comedy Mannequin, a beloved cult classic starring Kim Cattrall (Sex and the City, Big Trouble in Little China, Porky's, Peter Benchley's Creature) alongside Andrew McCarthy (Pretty in Pink, St. Elmo's Fire, Less Than Zero). Set in a vibrant Philadelphia department store, this whimsical tale follows struggling artist Jonathan Switcher, who discovers a mannequin magically brought to life, sparking a heartwarming romance filled with '80s flair and fantasy charm. Directed by Michael Gottlieb (Mr. Nanny, A Kid in King Arthur's Court), Mannequin shines with it's nostalgic blend of comedy, romance, and surreal imagination. The supporting cast is equally memorable: James Spader (Stargate, The Blacklist, Boston Legal) brings a hilariously smarmy energy; Estelle Getty (The Golden Girls, Stop! Or My Mom Will Shoot, Mask) adds warmth and wit; and mesh-gloved icon Meshach Taylor (Designing Women, The Allnighter, Dave's World) steals scenes as the flamboyant Hollywood Montrose. Carole Davis (The Shrimp on the Barbie, If Looks Could Kill, The Rapture) and G.W. Bailey (Police Academy, M*A*S*H, Short Circuit) round out the cast with colorful supporting roles. Capped with an iconic, Oscar-nominated soundtrack featuring Starship's smash hit "Nothing's Gonna Stop Us Now," Mannequin remains a time capsule of '80s pop culture - a feel-good, quirky romantic comedy that continues to win new fans with it's mix of magic, music, and movie-store nostalgia. A love story about divorce. A marriage coming apart and a family coming together. Marriage Story is a hilarious and harrowing, sharply observed, and deeply compassionate film from the acclaimed writer-director Noah Baumbach. Adam Driver and Scarlett Johansson deliver tour-de-force performances as Charlie, a charismatic New York theater director wedded to his work, and Nicole, an actor who is ready to change her own life. Their hopes for an amicable divorce fade as they are drawn into a system that pits them against each other and forces them to redefine their relationship and their family. Featuring bravura, finely drawn supporting turns from Alan Alda, Ray Liotta, and Laura Dern—who won an Academy Award for her performance here—as the trio of lawyers who preside over the legal battle, Marriage Story (nominated for six Academy Awards, including best picture) is a work of both intimacy and scope that ultimately invokes hope amid the ruins. Adapted from a 1909 novel by Jack London yet set in a provocatively unspecified moment in Italy’s history, Martin Eden is a passionate and enthralling narrative fresco in the tradition of the great Italian classics. Martin (played by the marvelously committed Luca Marinelli, The Old Guard) is a self-taught proletarian with artistic aspirations who hopes that his dreams of becoming a writer will help him rise above his station and marry a wealthy young university student (Jessica Cressy). The dissatisfactions of working-class toil and bourgeois success lead to political awakening and destructive anxiety in this enveloping, superbly mounted bildungsroman. Winner of the Best Actor prize at the Venice Film Festival and the Platform Prize at the Toronto International Film Festival. Special Features: -Virtual Q&A with Luca Marinelli and Pietro Marcello (Courtesy of Film at Lincoln Center) -Interview with Pietro Marcello -Audio commentary by film scholar Giovanna De Luca, PhD -Theatrical trailer

Kenneth Branagh leads an all-star cast including Robert De Niro, Helena Bonham Carter, Tom Hulce, Ian Holm, John Cleese and Aidan Quinn in his definitive cinematic version of Mary Shelley’s classic tale of gothic terror. At the turn of the 19th century, visionary scientist Victor Frankenstein (Kenneth Branagh) embarks on an obsessive quest to conquer the mysteries of human mortality. But his hubristic bid to create life out of death goes hideously wrong, and succeeds only in begetting a deformed monster (Robert De Niro). Horrified by what he has wrought, the scientist attempts to destroy his creation, but fails. Rejected by his creator and shunned by the world of man, the tormented creature swears vengeance against Frankenstein and his family. As the monster begins to enact his murderous revenge, Victor must face a terrible reckoning with the tragic consequences of attempting to play God. Mary Shelley's seminal novel is one of the most adapted books of all time, and this retelling faithfully goes back to the original source, lushly transforming the story's twin themes of love and death into a darkly operatic gothic romance. Unlike many versions of Shelley's novel, Branagh's adaptation understands that Frankenstein's misbegotten creation is as pitiable as he is monstrous, and never loses sight of the human tragedy lying at the core of its horrific tale. Filled with sweeping, atmospheric visuals and powerfully emotional performances from an award-winning ensemble of acting talent, Mary Shelley's Frankenstein stands as a landmark interpretation of this enduring masterpiece. 4K ULTRA HD BLU-RAY SPECIAL EDITION CONTENTS New 4K restoration from the original camera negatives by Sony Pictures Entertainment 4K (2160p) UHD Blu-ray presentation in Dolby Vision (HDR10 compatible) Original uncompressed stereo audio and DTS-HD MA 5.1 surround audio Optional English subtitles for the deaf and hard of hearing Brand new audio commentary by film historians Michael Brooke and Johnny Mains Brand new interview with composer Patrick Doyle Brand new interview with costumer designer James Acheson Brand new interview with make-up designer Daniel Parker Mary Shelley and The Creation of a Monster, a brand new documentary featurette on the origins and evolution of the Frankenstein story, featuring Gothic specialists David Pirie, Jonathan Rigby and Stephen Volk Dissecting Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein, a brand new featurette with David Pirie, Jonathan Rigby and Stephen Volk on the differences between the novel and Kenneth Branagh’s screen adaptation Frankenstein: A Liberal Adaptation from Mrs. Shelley’s Famous Story for Edison Production (1910): The first screen adaptation of Shelley’s story in a 2K restoration by the Library of Congress, with music by Donald Sosin Original trailers Reversible sleeve featuring original and newly commissioned artwork by Laz Marquez FIRST PRESSING ONLY: Illustrated collector’s booklet featuring new writing by Jon Towlson and Amy C. *This listing is for the standard edition version and does NOT come with a limited edition slipcase!* Vinegar Syndrome specializes in the masterful restoration and distribution of cult, horror, and erotic films from the 1960s-90s. Concerned that their latest production isn’t scary enough for modern audiences, the makers of a trashy horror movie titled Dirty Blood call in a spirit medium to host a seance for the cast and crew, hoping this will add a little authenticity to the proceedings. However, the producers get a little more than they bargained for when the medium inadvertently summons the spirit of the notorious Victorian-era serial killer Jack the Ripper. As filming presses on, the real horror commences when various members of the production start winding up brutally murdered. Could this be the ongoing work of a sadistic maniac who’s been preying on prostitutes in the area, or could something much more terrifying—and supernatural—be afoot? One in a series of films made under the “Lucio Fulci presents” banner (originally developed under the title I maestri del thriller), which sought to capitalize on the name of Italy’s Godfather of Gore, MASSACRE is one of the standout entries in the cycle and a pleasingly lurid slasher effort helmed by Burial Ground director Andrea Bianchi. Far sleazier than many of its late 80s horror competitors and packed full of bare skin, lesbian intrigue and hack-and-slash action (not to mention a lively score from Luigi Ceccarelli, who virtually rehashed his music from Rats: Night of Terror), Vinegar Syndrome is thrilled to unfurl MASSACRE in its UHD premiere, newly restored in 4K from its original 16mm camera negative and loaded with new special features. In the mid-1960s, the runaway success of Sergio Leone’s “Dollars” trilogy gave rise to an explosion of similar productions as filmmakers by the dozen sought to capitalize on this new, uniquely Italian take on the western, characterized by their deeply cynical outlook, morally compromised antiheroes and unflinching depictions savage violence. This specially curated selection gathers together four outstanding examples of the genre from the height of its popularity, all centered around a theme of revenge. In Lucio Fulci’s Massacre Time, Franco Nero and George Hilton star as estranged brothers forced to band together against the powerful businessman and his sadistic son who’ve seized control of their hometown. In Maurizio Lucidi’s My Name is Pecos, Robert Woods stars as the eponymous Mexican gunslinger, returning to Houston to settle a long-standing score against the racist gang boss who wiped out his entire family. In Massimo Dallamano’s Bandidos, Enrico Maria Salerno plays a former top marksman who, years after being maimed by a former protégé, teams up with a fresh apprentice to get his revenge against the man who betrayed him. Finally, in Antonio Margheriti’s And God Said to Cain, the inimitable Klaus Kinski stars as a man who has spent the last decade in a prison work camp for a crime he didn’t commit and who, upon his release, immediately sets out to wreak vengeance on the men who framed him. Featuring a wealth of key Euro cult talent both behind and in front of the camera, Arrow Video is proud to present these four classic westerns in sparkling high definition restorations alongside a plethora of bonus materials.
