Description
Three generations of acclaimed actors team up in The Score, an intriguing crime thriller that marks the first and only time that film legends Robert De Niro and Marlon Brando have shared the screen. When expert safecracker Nick Wells (De Niro) decides it might be time to settle down with his girlfriend Diane (Angela Bassett) and stick to his legitimate business, running a jazz nightclub in Montreal, his friend and partner Max (Brando) has other plans. Heavily in debt to a crime boss, Max needs Nick to pull one last heist: help novice thief Jack Teller (Edward Norton) steal a scepter worth $30 million from the House of Customs. Tempted by the $6 million payday, Nick reluctantly agrees to do the job. But what starts out as a safe bet turns into a high-risk gamble when a clash of egos threatens to bring them all down. Directed by Frank Oz (Dirty Rotten Scoundrels) and featuring performances by jazz greats Cassandra Wilson and Mose Allison, The Score is one of the smartest, most entertaining crime capers ever filmed, with surprises at every turn. Description
Barbara Stanwyck, the legendary actress who defined the film noir femme fatale in 1944’s Double Indemnity, returns to the role of the deadly seductress in The Strange Love of Martha Ivers. When streetwise gambler Sam Masterson (Van Heflin, Shane) returns to his hometown of Iverstown, childhood sweetheart Martha (Stanwyck) assumes he has come to blackmail her over the suspicious death of her aunt, which he witnessed years earlier. Thus begins a dangerous game of cat and mouse, in which the wealthy and powerful Martha, whose husband is the local district attorney (the film debut of Kirk Douglas, I Walk Alone), tries to threaten, connive and seduce the truth from Sam’s clenched lips. Lizabeth Scott (Pitfall) co-stars as a hard-boiled woman on probation whose attempts to go straight land her, ironically, in Iverstown’s vortex of circling sharks. Directed by Lewis Milestone (The General Died at Dawn), scripted by Robert Rossen (The Hustler) and scored by Miklós Rózsa (Spellbound), Martha Ivers is a razor-witted dance of death that represents Hollywood suspense at its most sublimely entertaining. Special Features: -Remastered in HD by Paramount Pictures – From a 4K Scan of the 35mm Fine Grain -Audio Commentary by Author/Film Historian Alan K. Rode -Trailers -Optional English Subtitles

Description
Few film directors have mastered the art of suspense, thrills and intriguing plot twists the way that John Brahm (Hangover Square) did when Helga Hammond (Heather Angel, The Informer) hears about a legend whereby a male member of her family is about to be sacrificed every few years, she discounts the legend as nonsense. But when Helga's brother, Oliver (John Howard, Lost Horizon) is attacked by a horrific beast that is part man and part wolf, it appears that the legend is true. When Scotland Yard inspector (James Ellison, I Walked with a Zombie) investigates the link between the werewolf and the family, he discovers an even more shocking truth! One of the film s key features is the gorgeous cinematography by the great Lucien Ballard (The Lodger). - Special Features: Audio commentary by Film Historians Tom Weaver & Robert J.
