Manhunt 09/26 Blu-ray (Rental)

Ken Takakura stars in this high-octane crime thriller, on the run across the whole of Japan. Reunited with action director Junya Sato (The Bullet Train), Takakura plays Fuyuto Morioka, a chief prosecutor for the Ministry of Justice who is arrested for a crime he didn't commit and escapes from custody. Trailed by a detective and two shadowy figures wielding shotguns, Morioka's search for whoever framed him uncovers a dark web of government and corporate corruption involving a dangerous mind-controlling drug developed by a sinister pharmaceutical company. A star-studded blockbuster featuring Kunie Tanaka, Ryo Ikebe and Ko Nishimura, the film was a surprise box-office smash that inspired a 2017 remake by John Woo, and is presented here in a brand new restoration.
