When his brother June Bug winds up dead under mysterious, jewelry-related circumstances, Army Sergeant Jack Spade returns to his city to find out what really happened. Finding his family harassed by flunkies for the local crime lord, Mr. Big, Jack turns to the legendary neighborhood hero of his youth, John Slade, for help in avenging his brother.
