Disc 1 contains the feature film, presented in a new 4K restoration, and an audio commentary with film historian Alexandra Heller-Nicholas; the remaining special features are on the Blu-ray disc, which is listed separately. EPA officer Steve Malone heads to a U.S. Army base in rural Alabama to look into toxic materials that have been making soldiers ill, bringing his wife Carol, teenage daughter Marti and young son Andy along. As the family settles in, the people around the base begin behaving strangely, and it gradually becomes clear that residents are being replaced in their sleep by alien duplicates. The third screen adaptation of Jack Finney's Invasion of the Body Snatchers — after Don Siegel's 1956 film and Philip Kaufman's 1978 version — Body Snatchers marked indie provocateur Abel Ferrara's major-studio debut.
