SPANISH: Unos forasteros llegan a pescar a Janitzio, donde Zirahuén, indígena con derecho exclusivo, mata a uno en una pelea. Manuel, un especulador, ignora las advertencias de don Pablo y abusa de los lugareños, imponiendo precios injustos. Al reclamar, Zirahuén es encarcelado, y Manuel ofrece liberarlo si Eréndira, su novia, pasa unos días con él. Tras salir, Zirahuén descubre la verdad, mata a Manuel y perdona a Eréndira.
