It is 1943 in Poland, and Leon (Armin Mueller-Stahl, Eastern Promises) is a rich Polish farmer who lives a quiet life in the middle of the forest. His life is changed forever when he finds Rosa (Elisabeth Trissenaar, Berlin Alexanderplatz), a married Jewish woman on the run from the Nazis who has collapsed from exhaustion.
