Crazy Rich Asians 4K UHD 11/18 Blu-ray (Rental)

Saw this with a friend of mine from mainland China; it was her pick. Rom-coms are not generally my thing. For me, it was mildly entertaining and I did enjoy the cultural tie-ins. If you are looking for a rom-com that is not too contrived and is well acted, this would be a good choice. Also, if you are familiar with the culture it will heighten your experience.

Easy watching, a crowd pleaser with great cultural tie ins. Grand sets and great costumes tie the whole thing together. The idea of cultural versus societal differences across Asian American and Singaporean families grounds the movie in reality while the fun acting and big visuals create a more fantastical rom-com vibe.
