By far my favorite horror series from the 80's! I have always seen this series as very creative. I also found the premise of Freddy killing people with their dreams and the teens learning to fight back in there dreams very novel. The dream sequences are really creative too. I would highly recommend the first 5 movies in this series for any horror fan.

I really though it was cool that they made another one of these movies. I enjoyed the first two movies when they came out. I do not think you really need to have seen the first 2, just know it is 28 years after a zombie apocalypse. It is not a rehash of the original movies, and I found it more surreal and a bit thought provoking. Not better or worse than the first 2 but a bit different. I did ...

Great movie if you like the Twin Peaks series, are a David Lynch fan, or just want to try something different. If you want an easy to digest action movie, probably not what you are looking for. I did not watch any of the extras.
